Solace is home!

Solace has arrived at her dock here in Fairfield Harbor.  This morning we were finally able to get our boat in the water.  It was a beautiful day and the humidity was low, so we figured it was as good a day as any to bring Solace home.  Yes the new name of our boat is Solace, Mike picked this out.  I think it fits us and the boat pretty well.  This sweet little boat brings us great comfort.

We took the boat over to a public ramp on the Trent River, basically right in downtown New Bern.  We were able to get her rigged and ready to go without to much trouble.  It took us about an hour and a half to motor her over (yes there was not an ounce of wind) to Birdland Marina where she will be docked.  This marina is about two blocks from the house and is small and very friendly.  The pictures are pretty self explanatory.  It was a great day and we are so glad to get her home.
