Yes we returned back to Ohio this week to hopefully avoid the wrath of hurricane Irma. Luckily she did not affect New Bern, at least not so far. The ride up on Saturday was probably one of the best ones we have had yet. It was clear blue skies, cooler temperatures and the traffic was not bad at all.
Perfect day for cloud watching. Still hard for me to believe I shot all of these photos with my cell phone right out the truck window.

The road side rests were crowded with people flee hurricane Irma.
There was literally a truck load of water out for anyone that needed it.
They also brought in extra porta pottys just in case. |

We arrived in Columbus with no trouble. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with Kent, Amanda and the boys, then headed over to Gary's to unpack our clothes, then headed back to watch the football game with the kids again.
