Brunswick, St. Simon Island, St. Marys

Well better late than never.  I should have put these together as they were happening, but we were having way to much fun.  This day we stopped in Brunswick, GA down by the river we found this model ship which reminded us both of Mike's friend Marty who builds model ships.

We then came across this beauty and guess what?  It's for sale.  Hmm what do you think?  Could this be our next new boat.  I think not, WAY TO BIG!  But she was a beauty.
Came across this one below, I swear it was a live aboard by the looks of it.  If you look at the photo closely you will notice that there is the mast of a sunken sail boat laying up against the bow of the boat.  Ooops!

We then made our way over to St. Simon's Island.  It was a beautiful place.

This little one was watching me as I was photographing the court house building above.
Of course I stopped to photograph the lighthouse.

Then we came across this pergola at least I guess that is what you would call it.  It had a board and batten roof.

Beautiful shore line and saw this flying over head.

We then headed out to a local plantation for a walk around the grounds and tour of the building.  This is where the writing of these when it happens comes in handy because I can't remember the name of this place.  I do remember though the live oak trees were simply breathtaking.

See what I mean about the live oaks and all the Spanish Moss.

Yes I took a picture of this chair, only because I have this exact same chair at home but it was painted red.

This little one was okay with me taking their picture.

This is where the old rice fields used to be.

Mike stepped into this photo to give you an idea of just how BIG these live oaks are.

Being in the lowlands there are bridges everywhere.

I snapped these last two on our way back from dinner in downtown St. Marys, GA.  It was a beautiful evening.
