What does one do when you are on vacation in St. Mary's, GA? You take a day trip to Florida of course. We headed over to Jacksonville and stopped at this beach, again can't remember the name of it, should have done these as they happened. The beach was pretty much deserted, but stunning.
Yes this is the only photo I took of Jacksonville. We quickly stopped for lunch at a local taco stand. I thought lunch was wonderful, we ate outside under a tent like cover, just as we were finishing up our lunch one of those Florida rain showers came through. That was the end of lunch and our time in Jacksonville.
We then headed over to St. Augustine, thought we would check out the lighthouse there. The town seemed to be over run with tourists. Who knew that in February there would be so many people here. Well we checked out the lighthouse and headed out of town. You see we have been here before and did the tourist thing, just way too many folks this day.
Dont' see this everyday standing on a corner.
That evening I received these two pictures below of our grandsons. Brice the little one has just gotten glasses and oh my gosh how cute is he?
Big brother Jacob is so sweet and caring to his little brother. This photo made me want to jump in the truck and drive straight up to Columbus to give them both a big squeeze.
