Bucket List Journey begins

Bucket list trip out west began on July 6th.  Only now have I had time to actually start blogging about this amazing trip.  We have been so busy having fun.  Our trip began as I said July 6th early in the morning in Columbus Ohio.  Mike and I left with my brother, sister in law and nephew and headed out west.  The first couple of days were simply going to be driving to get us out as far west as possible before we wanted to make some site seeing stops.  Below are some pictures from the first day.

We enjoyed picnic lunches along the way.

And oh the spectacular flowers.

Even stopped at a road side rest.  Zach stated that he just needed to get out.  At that point we all did.

What is it about playing like a kid can make you smile.

Since the 6th of July is my brother Gary's birthday, Mike and I treated him and his family to a fun dinner at a funky restaurant we found on our first stop.

Our first day was in the books and we were off to a good nights sleep.
